Brows — Microblading, Nano & Powder
I offer three cosmetic tattoo brow techniques — microblading, nano brows and powder brows. They differ in how the pigment is applied and therefore in how the finished brow reads, from individual hair strokes through to a soft powdered fill. The right one depends on your skin type and the look you want. A brow appointment takes about three hours.

The single biggest thing I want people to understand is that these three are not interchangeable, and the technique should be chosen for your skin — not because it is the one a studio happens to offer.
Microblading places fine hair-like strokes into the skin with a hand tool. It looks the most like real hair, and it suits normal to dry skin. On oily skin the crisp strokes tend to blur over time, which is why I will steer you away from it if that is your skin type.
Nano brows create the same hair-stroke effect using a single fine needle on a machine rather than a blade. It is gentler on the skin, holds its definition better on a wider range of skin types, and heals more predictably.
Powder brows build a soft gradient of pigment rather than individual strokes — closest to a lightly filled-in brow with pencil or powder. It is the most durable of the three, works on oily skin, and is what I most often recommend for people who already fill their brows in every morning.
Whichever we choose, the shape comes first. I map the brow to your bone structure and your face, we look at it together, and nothing gets tattooed until you are happy with the outline.

Questions people ask
Which brow technique is right for me?
Skin type decides most of it. Oily skin blurs fine strokes, so powder or nano tends to hold better; normal to dry skin can carry microblading beautifully. Beyond that it is about the look you want — hair strokes read more natural up close, powder reads more groomed. I will give you a straight recommendation at consultation rather than selling you the most expensive option.
How long do brows last?
Generally one to three years depending on technique, skin type, sun exposure and aftercare. Powder brows usually outlast microblading. Most people come back for a refresh before the colour disappears entirely, because topping up faded pigment is easier work than starting over.
Do I need a touch-up?
A follow-up appointment several weeks after the first session is normal and expected for cosmetic tattoo — skin does not always take pigment evenly on the first pass, and the second visit is where the result gets refined. I will tell you at your first appointment whether I think you need one and what it costs.
What is the healing process?
The brows look considerably darker and sharper for the first week — that is the pigment sitting in the upper layers of skin before it settles. Around days five to ten there is flaking, and the colour will look patchy and far too light underneath. This is the stage where people worry. Give it four to six weeks before judging the result.
