Laser is the treatment people assume is simple because the machine appears to do the work. It is not simple, and the gap between a technician who understands what they are holding and one who has memorised a settings chart shows up the first time a client walks in with a skin type or a hair colour the chart does not cover.

So we start with how the light actually behaves. IPL and diode systems work by targeting pigment, which is why they thin dark coarse hair well and do almost nothing to grey, white or very fine blonde hair. Understanding that one mechanism is what lets you set expectations honestly at consultation instead of selling somebody six sessions that were never going to work.

Then skin typing and safety, which is the part that matters most. Settings that are right for one skin type can burn another. You will learn how to assess skin properly, how to patch test, what the contraindications are, and when the correct answer is to decline the booking.

Then treatment planning across body areas, growth cycles and realistic session counts, aftercare, and how to run the consultation itself. And you do the work with the machine in your hands, with me next to you.

What you leave with

By the end of the course

  • Confident, safe operation of IPL and diode laser systems
  • How laser targets pigment, and where it does and does not work
  • Skin typing, patch testing and choosing safe settings
  • Contraindication screening and knowing when to decline
  • Treatment planning across body areas and hair growth cycles
  • Aftercare and running the consultation
  • A certificate on successful completion

And then the part nobody teaches

What happens after you certify

A certificate on its own doesn’t bring anybody through the door. I know too many people who qualified, waited, and ended up with one client a month wondering what went wrong. So the training doesn’t stop when the course does.

  • Ongoing support after certification, not a closed door
  • Help pricing laser by area for your own market
  • How to package a course of sessions so clients commit
  • Straight answers when a client presents something you have not seen before
