Permanent Makeup & Cosmetic Tattoo Certification
This certification covers permanent makeup and cosmetic tattooing for brows, including technique selection across microblading, nano and powder brows, brow mapping, skin assessment, colour theory, and aftercare. It is taught hands-on and one-to-one, and it is built to leave you able to work, not just able to pass.
Brow work is where most permanent makeup artists build their income, and it is also where the gap between a trained technician and a good one is most visible. The technique is learnable. The judgement is what takes teaching.
That judgement is mostly two things. First, reading skin. Knowing that crisp microbladed strokes will blur on oily skin and choosing nano or powder instead, rather than giving every client the technique you happen to prefer. Second, mapping: designing a brow to the face in front of you instead of to a trend.
We work through colour theory properly too, including how pigment shifts as it heals and how undertone affects what you should be choosing. Getting this wrong is the single most common reason clients end up looking for correction work later.

How long is the permanent makeup and microblading course?
Twenty hours, in person and one-to-one. It is hands-on the whole way through: you do the work with your own hands, with me beside you, not taking turns on a single model in a room of students.
How much does the permanent makeup course cost?
Tuition is $1,850. Registering online costs nothing. You tell me when you would like to start, I get back to you personally with available dates, and your place is confirmed once we have agreed a date together.
Does the course cover microblading, nano brows and powder brows?
Yes, all three, and when to use each one. Most of the judgement in brow work is reading skin: crisp microbladed strokes blur on oily skin, where nano or powder brows hold. We also cover brow mapping to the individual face, colour theory and how pigment heals, aftercare, touch-up planning and correcting common problems. You receive a certificate on successful completion.
Who teaches the permanent makeup course?
I do, for the whole course. I have done brows for ten years. I certified in permanent makeup with Biotouch Canada and completed an 800-hour Master of Cosmetics at BC Medical Aesthetic, and I still take brow clients every week, which is the only reason I have anything useful to teach.
What support do I get after I certify?
I stay reachable. A certificate on its own does not bring anybody through the door, so the support carries on after the course: building a portfolio that actually books clients, pricing your work so the numbers make sense, and finding and keeping clients.
